Spike’s Dart Team Update
The Chips keep rolling with a 13 – 8 victory over Ars Gainne Mill (don’t ask me what that means). Half way through the season, we’re sitting comfortably in first place.
In the individual rankings, Gary’s number one ranking is being challenged by Brian Metz of Unimeese (again, don’t ask me what that means). For now they are tied for the league’s top spot. I continue to hang around the top ten, currently in seventh.
With the holiday next week our usual Wednesday night match has been moved to Monday. You will find us on the road playing The Dart Bags downtown at the
Owl ‘n Thistle. First dart at 7:30 PM.
Come for the darts or a Guiness in one of Seattle’s true Irish pubs. Gary is buying.
Cheers!

It means “Third Dart Wretched,” which might have proved true a bit too often that night, though I must give you credit for the consistently excellent play we saw from you and your team. Plus I can’t complain personally, as that night I got my first ever Ton-80.
As a fellow Coopers team I believe we should wish you fair winds and following seas (or at least “shoot well”) in the weeks ahead. I believe though that we’re due to meet once more on the 20th of January, so we’ll try to give you a better run for your money come that night.
All the best…

Thank you and kudos to you and your Ton-80 that night. In my four seasons of playing darts I’ve only seen a 180 thrown once before, and sadly it wasn’t me throwing it. It is a rare achievement for players like us and you should bask in the moment.
For those of you who might not be familiar with the term, the highest score possible with 3 darts is 180, commonly known as a “ton 80″ (100 points is called a ton), obtained when all three darts land in the triple 20.
Cheers!
