Spike Likes Fridays, Vol. 17
Tim: Spike likes jammin’ with Irish folk musicians in T&H Doolan Merchants, a 300-year-old pub in Waterford, Ireland.
Jamie: Fox’s “Fringe” is renewed for a 4th Season! The best show on TV that no one watches. Be sure to tune in Fridays @ 9pm!
Charlie: A nice collection of some great beer label designs.
Lea: Discovering new music, thanks to hip friends on FB. BOAT’s “(I’ll beat my chest like) King Kong” has a good enough hook to last into summer.
Gary Meyers: Jimmer.
Gary G.: Spike likes Sherlock Holmes on PBS Masterpiece Mystery.
Robert: Jen Aniston’s Smart Water Commercial:
Rachel: Petite Lap Giraffes- from Sokoblovsky Farms in Russia.
Chris: It’s always fun to take a trip back in time. Here’s a look at the old Hodgson/Meyers website from 1996. What did your cutting-edge website look like back then?
Willem: TED price winner JR: JR creates pervasive art that spreads uninvited on buildings of Parisian slums, on walls in the Middle East, on broken bridges in Africa or in favelas in Brazil. People in the exhibit communities, those who often live with the bare minimum, discover something absolutely unnecessary but utterly wonderful. And they don’t just see it, they make it. Elderly women become models for a day; kids turn into artists for a week. In this art scene, there is no stage to separate the actors from the spectators. To learn more, visit the website, and check out the trailer below.
Andrew: My complacent challenger, from the “A league”, made a bet that there was no way he was going to be beaten in 2011. You may know this “A league” challenger better as G1, aka Gary Meyers. I’m pleased to say that after only 2 months of practice, 3 wins now have been placed under my name for the month of March alone. If you ask him, he’ll say all 3 times were a fluke, but don’t worry, he’ll be brewing the coffee for the office soon enough. — Thank you, Mr. Meyers.
